FAQ’s

Private dental insurance does not cover all the costs of treatment, rather it is meant to assist you with the associated costs. Although we do not offer financing, we do offer an assignment of benefits to our office depending on your insurance policy. Patients are only responsible for the up-front amount not covered by their insurance. In addition to this, Sunterra Dental also does electronic billing to your first insurance provider, as well as submitting to secondary insurance.

Sunterra Dental works with you and your insurance provider to ensure a stress-free visit. Our fees at the office follow the current provincial yearly fee guides as set out by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns have multiple uses in dentistry, they do everything from protecting a damaged tooth to enhancing the appearance of your smile.

Dental Hygiene

Most people know about the importance of brushing and flossing but good oral hygiene is about much more. Here are ten tips for good oral hygiene:

Direct Billing

At Sunterra Dental, we try to make your visit with us as pleasant and seamless as possible and that includes when it comes time to pay for your dental work. We are pleased to offer Direct Insurance Billing to our existing and new patients.

When you have reached the end of your appointment, we will send through the insurance claim to your primary insurance company. Our systems will then instantly tell us what your insurance company will cover. If, for example, you have 80% coverage on basic dental work – you would then pay the 20% difference. If you have coverage under a secondary insurance plan, we are happy to provide billing to a secondary provider as well.

Please be familiar with your dental insurance plan and be aware of how much coverage is available to you before scheduling an appointment. If you wish, we can also submit a Predetermination to your insurance provider to determine exactly how much will be covered for a specific procedure.

Removing the stigma of Dentures

Dentures have always carried a stigma that often conjures an image of an uncomfortable, difficult to maintain, and unnatural-appearing dental appliance worn only by senior citizens; however, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
